HurdMaster MD 1000 is a compact, durable micro-decorticator designed to separate hemp stalks’ woody core (hurd) from bast fibers. Developed by Latvian artisan and entrepreneur Kristaps Eglitis, the HurdMaster is tailored for small-scale hemp farmers, CBD producers, and natural builders seeking to process leftover stalks into valuable materials.
The machine is ideal for applications such as hempcrete construction, animal bedding, and plant bedding. Its manual input system processes stalks up to 3 cm in diameter, producing shivs ranging from 5 to 30 mm in length. With an estimated output of 50–100 kg per hour, users can process 1–2 tons of stalks over a three-day period.
