Hempola Farm is Canada’s first hemp-food producer and pioneering hemp brand, founded in 1995 by Greg Herriott in Springwater, Ontario. The vertically integrated operation grows certified hemp for cold-pressed hemp seed oil, flour, shelled seeds, protein and fiber powders, and food-safe wood-finishing oils. Hempola introduced North America’s first hemp seed oil and flour, led R&D in plant-based oil and omega-3 products, and developed their own Hemp Wood line. Their work has influenced Health Canada’s industrial hemp regulations, and they've recently relaunched under their original HEMPOLA® name, returning to core products after a period of integration into Mettrum/Canopy Growth brands.
