European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA) is the only pan-European membership organization dedicated to the industrial hemp sector. Founded in 2000 and officially registered in 2005, EIHA represents the common interests of hemp farmers, processors, and traders working with hemp fibers, shives, seeds, leaves, and cannabinoids. The association's primary mission is to monitor EU hemp-related policies and provide decision-makers with accurate and reliable information across various spheres of competence. EIHA actively engages in policy advocacy, research, and standardization efforts, contributing to the development of the hemp industry within the European Union and beyond.
EIHA's membership encompasses stakeholders from 25 EU states and 12 additional countries, including members in North America and the Asia-Pacific region, comprising over 200 members primarily consisting of farmers, processors, and manufacturers. The association organizes the annual International Conference of the European Industrial Hemp Association, one of the largest events of its kind, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among industry professionals.
