Bringing It Home is an award-winning documentary film that explores the past, present, and potential future of industrial hemp through a compelling lens of environmental sustainability, economic opportunity, and policy reform. Released in 2013, the film was co-directed by Linda Booker and Blaire Johnson to raise awareness about hemp’s versatility and to advocate for the legalization of industrial hemp cultivation in the United States. The documentary played a significant role in public education during a critical period leading up to changes in U.S. federal hemp policy. Featuring interviews with farmers, business owners, scientists, and industry advocates, Bringing It Home connects the dots between hemp, healthy homes, carbon-negative materials, and sustainable agriculture.
