Axel Vervoordt
Country: Belgium
The Axel Vervoordt Company, founded by art collector and interior luminary Axel Vervoordt, is headquartered in the converted Kanaal industrial site in Wijnegem. Their operations include the Gallery, Antiquaire, Interiors & Design studio, and warehouse facilities. Although best known for curating fine art, antiques, and bespoke interiors rooted in natural materials and authenticity, the firm has contributed to pioneering hemp-architecture projects—most notably installing hemp‑lime (hempcrete) in the “Minka” house designed by Mood Architecture and Mell Lawrence. Their work bridges art, design, architecture, and material innovation.
