OSU Global Hemp Innovation Center is home to the world'sleading experts in hemp research. The largest of its kind in the nation, it promises to advance the research of hemp and its market potential across multiple diverse industries and research fields to serve the growing international demand for innovative approaches to food, health, and fiber. As the largest university-led hemp research center in North America, the Global Hemp Innovation Center brings together leading experts in genetics, agronomy, materials science, and economics to advance hemp’s potential across food, fiber, health, construction, and product innovation. The center offers nationwide outreach, workforce development, and tribal collaborations, including field days, workshops, and pilot-scale biobased material programs. Their interdisciplinary research spans hemp-based fiber materials, bio-based construction, tribal economic development, supply chain optimization, and wildfire-resilient cropping systems.
