BastCore

Country: United States
Founded in 2014, BastCore operates the largest dedicated industrial hemp fiber processing facility in the United States. The company uses patented decortication and degumming technologies to transform raw hemp stalks into clean, market-ready materials for use in textiles, biocomposites, insulation, geotextiles, and hempcrete. Their product line includes T-fiber, a textile-grade bast fiber; C-fiber, a composite-grade bast for nonwovens and plastics; C-core, a chipped core wood material; and M-core, a micronized version used for absorption and particle board applications. BastCore is certified under the USDA BioPreferred program and has formed strategic partnerships with U.S. manufacturers, including Cone Denim, which uses BastCore fiber in its OEKO-TEX certified sustainable denim collections. The company raised $2.8 million in Series A funding to expand its infrastructure and fiber production capacity. BastCore also collaborates with a national network of American hemp farmers, offering cultivation support, supply contracts, and logistics assistance. Its agricultural partners span multiple states including Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Montana.
