Podlaskie Konopie is a family-run Polish hemp enterprise founded in 2013 and incorporated as a separate entity in May 2021. Located on approximately 500 ha at the edge of the Knyszyński Forest near Białystok, the company cultivates fiber hemp along with other crops (rapeseed, wheat, barley, corn), and has been processing hemp fibers, shives, and straw for building materials since 2015. They innovate in agrotechnology—such as strip-till cultivation—and pilot processing lines for straw, shives, and fiber. Their materials are used domestically in hempcrete and have featured in academic studies, including energy performance and fire-testing projects. As co-owner and Vice-President, Piotr Jastrzębski is recognized nationally as a pioneer in hemp-based construction and sustainable farming.
